MizumiCon briefly in ENGLISH
MizumiCon is a new Finnish convention where cosplay, creativity, anime, and well-being come together! We organize two events per year in Central Finland.
MizumiCon’s name is a combination of the Japanese word for lake, mizumi (湖), and con, which is short for convention. This is because our conventions are held at Spa&Resort Peurunka in beautiful lakeside scenery. The winter event has an icy twist with the Japanese word for ice, kōri (氷), added at the end.
Our conventions welcome everyone of all ages, but specific activities (such as the evening party) may be age-restricted.
Mark your calendars:

For cosplayers, we offer a free photoshoot service as well as a chance to reserve a cosplay photoshoot at the spa! The spa photoshoot will require pre-registration; more information available in Finnish on this page.
MizumiCon Kōri will not have a cosplay competition, but cosplayers will still have a chance to showcase their costumes on stage! Cosplay Catwalk is a laid-back program where you can show your creativity and love for cosplay. (Please keep in mind that Cosplay Catwalk is not a contest and there will be no prizes.)
To participate in the Catwalk, you will need to register either beforehand or at the con. More information and the pre-registration form (in Finnish) can be found here.
Please note that our cons have restrictions regarding props and the tastefulness of costumes. Props and weapon replicas must not pose a risk to other visitors. All real weapons are strictly forbidden at the con! Props must not have sharp edges capable of cutting, and all weapon replicas must be easily identified as fake.
Since our con is for all ages, please keep this in mind when choosing your costume. Too much nudity and offensive costumes are prohibited.

Organizers
MizumiCon is organized by the non-profit organization Laukaan conittajat ry (aka Lacory). The organization was created to bring fans more opportunities to enjoy Japanese popular culture and related hobbies in Laukaa. All the staff at the cons are volunteers, giving their time and effort out of love for con culture!
